Vampire Facial Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

A vampire facial, also known as a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) facial, is a cosmetic procedure where a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn, processed to extract platelet-rich plasma, and then applied to the face. The PRP, rich in growth factors, is believed to stimulate collagen production and promote skin rejuvenation. Some procedures may include microneedling to enhance PRP absorption. The term “vampire facial” gained attention due to its association with the use of the patient’s own blood for the treatment. This procedure is sought for its potential to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines, offering a natural-looking result with minimal risk of adverse reactions. Individuals considering a vampire facial should consult with a qualified healthcare provider or skincare professional to determine its suitability for their specific skin concerns and aesthetic objectives.

How does a vampire facial work?

Vampire Facial works by using the patient’s own blood to create a PRP solution that is rich in growth factors, which are essential for cell growth and tissue repair. The PRP solution is created by drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood and processing it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The resulting PRP solution is then applied to the patient’s face using microneedling, which creates micro-injuries and thus small channels in the skin to allow for better absorption of the PRP solution.

The growth factors in the PRP solution help to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, which can improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity.

Therefore, the improvements of acne scars, age spots, hyper-pigmentation, Melasma, enlarged pores and stretch marks are greater. While PRP can be applied to any area of the skin, the most common treatment areas include the face, neck and chest.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels, especially to the face, are a great way to treat the complexion, and rejuvenate and restore the face and skin.

A chemical peel treatment involves the application of a medical grade solution to the surface of the skin. This solution induces exfoliation, as well as collagen and elastin production. As the skin exfoliates away it reveals fresh, healthy skin beneath, and helps treat acne, fine lines/wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and other skin conditions.

Medical grade chemical peels differ in depth of penetration verses chemical peels which can be bought or received at a Spa.
